Happy Tails Books is a Resource for Dog Rescue Groups
One of the main goals of Happy Tails Books is to support animal rescue organizations. We do this by showcasing your member's success stories, linking to your website, sharing your news, and making an annual donation to those groups that are approved as Rescue Partners, help us to collect stories, and then help us to promote the books among their members.
WHAT IS A RESCUE PARTNER? Our Rescue Partners are enthusiastic, ethical, reputable, non-profit rescue organizations that are excited to give their members the opportunity to have a story about their wonderful adopted dogs and/or cats published in a book. At the end of each year, our Rescue Partners that earn at least 5 points (see below) receive a significant portion of our profits. Each partner also gets a link on our website and a "thank you" in a book. Additionally, we promote news and fundraisers for our Rescue Partners via Twitter, Facebook, and our monthly newsletter.
HOW DO YOU BECOME A RESCUE PARTNER? First, fill out the form below to let us know about your rescue organization. Upon receipt we'll research your group, and once approved you'll receive a link on our website and your name in the appropriate book. For each story submitted or book purchased by someone associated with your rescue, you'll earn points that will result in a donation at the end of the year. The minimum points you need to earn to receive a portion of our annual donation is just five. Periodically throughout the year we'll also give you the opportunity to raise even more money from book sales by having targeted fundraisers through our website. There is NO charge to become a rescue partner.
PARTNERING WITH HTB ON THIS SPECIAL PROJECT IS FUN, EASY AND EXCITING! Having your members submit stories to us gives your group exposure to people who are interested in cat and dog adoption and honors the dogs/cats you have rescued. Once approved, we will supply you with newsletter/email articles and whatever other support you need to let your group know that we are looking for stories. Your obligation is simply to spread the word. The stories are submitted directly to us through our "Share a Tail" page, and we take care of editing them.
What DO OTHER RESCUE GROUPS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT HAPPY TAILS BOOKS?
"MidAmerica Boston Terrier Rescue was excited for the opportunity to partner with Happy Tails Books for their Boston Terrier "Lost Souls: FOUND!" book. It gave our members the opportunity to share how great life is with their new companions." - Jennifer Misfeldt, President, MidAmerica Boston Terrier Rescue
"Working with Kyla Duffy and Happy Tail Books was a pleasure. We asked our membership to send in stories, and I believe we sent in enough for a book of our own, but Kyla made her selections and we were well represented. A simple post on our website with a link to the Happy Tails site, and our members were able to make their purchases online. The end of year check will sure come in handy for vet expenses!" - Hermine Scolnik, President, Everglades Golden Retriever Rescue
"Bostons by the Bay Rescue very much appreciates the hard work Kyla and her staff at Happy Tails Books put into producing such a wonderful book! The Boston terrier version of "Lost Souls: Found!" has gotten rave reviews from our adopters, foster homes, and others who have purchased the book. It not only inspires people to consider adoption and fostering but also helps rescues generate much-needed funds. Happy Tails Books shares a portion of their sales back to the rescues who have helped to create the books and also offers wholesale pricing so rescues can use the books for fundraisers. It's a win-win for all!" - Linda, President, Bostons By The Bay
