6/16/09 From the Boulder County Business Report: Happy Tails publishes first book
BOULDER - Happy Tails Books, a Boulder-based publishing company that distributes breed-specific stories on adopted dogs, has teamed with nine Boston terrier rescue groups to collect stories for its first book, "Lost Souls: Found! Inspirational Stories of Adopted Boston Terriers."

The book is available online at www.happytailsbooks.com for $12.95. A portion of the proceeds from each book sale is given to the rescue groups who helped gather stories for the book. The groups use the money to fund medical bills, arrange transport and organize foster care for dogs that come into their care.

Jennifer Misfeldt, president of Nebraska-based MidAmerica Boston Terrier Rescue, said her group was excited for the opportunity to partner with Happy Tails Books. "It gave our members who have adopted puppy mill survivors the opportunity to share how great life is with their new companion."

6/15/09 The first "Happy Tails" book about Boston Terriers is about to go to press! We are currently taking pre-orders and offering either $2.00 off per book, or we will donate double to rescue. We are collecting stories about Golden Retrievers for the next book, "Lost Souls: FOUND! Inspirational Stories of Adopted Golden Retrievers." The deadline for story submission is July 30th, and the book is expected to be available for pre-order in August.

5/23/09 Our first book, "Lost Souls: Found! Inspirational Stories of Adopted Boston Terriers" is about to go to press! We will be commerating this exciting event with t-shirts and stickers as well. Pre-sales will be offered through June and July.

With the Boston Terrier book well on its way, we will soon be collecting stories about Retrievers. Please visit the "Share a Tail" page for information on submissions!
